Here is a pic of a striper my son Caleb caught on the Gizz 4 this afternoon ! We caught 5 fish total in about 2 1/2 hours 4 stripers and 1 spotted bass. Three stripers and the bass were caught on the Green Pearl Gizz-4 the other was caught on live bait. Your lure out fished live bait 4 to 1 ! Awesome lure !
Just thought I would drop you guys a line to say what a great bait that you guys have produced. The Stripers here on Lake Lanier have been hammering it. I have attached a picture of a Striper that we caught Sunday on the GIZZ-4 Green Pearl.
OHF Tester - Action Lure's
Threw this as a topwater today in a spot that I knew had big fish but they have all seen my buzzbait routine. It looks like a dying shad when you twitch it , pretty awesome big fish lure.
I lost a huge pike on the Gizz tonight. If I don't get it broke off I should be able to nail some serious pike on this lure during fall and winter.
This is a client of mine at Lake LBJ a couple of weeks ago. I had the client had been working the bait along rocky rip rap on seawalls. He caught 3 or 4 small fish (13"-16" and 2 lbs. were the largest). Then we moved up the river arm and began fishing pods of water willows in 2'-3' growing right along a 5' channel breakline. The guy hung the bait on a weed stem on his 2nd cast. Since I had him using braid I had him rip the bait free. Just as he did I saw a swirl in the weeds. As he took up the slack this fish ( 5.5 lbs.) smashed the black back Gizz-4 and the fight was on! Twice I had to catch my breath because the fish reversed course on him and dropped slack in the line, but it was well hooked and came to the boat.
I like the Gizz because it runs true right out of the package. No tuning necessary. Oh, the client took the Gizz with him. Tried to pay me for it but...
I caught this flounder and redfish in the surf on your lures this morning.
The lure casts well, even into the wind, and effectively imitates the finger mullet migrating south along the Florida coast. I like it!
Capt. Mike LauretI went today by myself and in less than an hour including a 15minute boat ride both ways, had a limit of nice speckled trout(spotted weakfish) from 1-1/2 lbs. to about three pounds. I only used the baits you sent so I could give them the real ACID TEST and they passed as the pic shows. I used the chartreuse and the pearl one. At first sight I thought they were more fresh water but work great in salt water .Thanks for the baits and I will keep in touch. Smack Tackle baits produce!!! Thanks ...Capt. Mike
Went again yesterday and got limits of speckled trout using several different lures. The Gizz 4 worked great again. I had to stop using it after getting a limit for a good reason, the fish were attacking it so hard that they were getting hooked so well that a safe release for them was difficult.
I found out that the fish would change from hitting my other baits on the fall to hitting the Gizz 4 after I quit reeling and let it rise a bit, learned something new. Thanks for the great bait...Capt. Mike
